My name is Xinghua (Patrick) Cheng. My current research interests include ecosystem ecology, agroecosystem modeling, and machine learning applications. I am currently working with Drs. Ren and Zhu at the University of Connecticut. I spent approximately five years developing the 'Cartography Communication Theory' with my supervisor, Dr. Zhilin Li. My research focused on information theory in remote sensing image processing. Previously, I worked as a full-time research associate at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2020 to 2022.
